About me

I'm Charlie, and I built this practice around one focus: adults who carried too much, too young, and are ready to set it down. Because this is all I do, you will not have to explain what childhood neglect does to a person. I already know, and we can start from there.

My approach is warm and direct. I will not pathologize you, and I will not pretend healing is tidy. What I offer is steadiness, more than a decade of trauma work, and a relationship you can lean on while you do some of the bravest work of your life.

Why Catalpa

The catalpa is a tough tree with big, heart-shaped leaves. It takes root in hard ground and still grows wide enough to give real shade. That felt like the right picture for this work: growth that does not depend on easy beginnings.

Affirming, from the inside

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself. Whoever you are and whoever you love, you will not have to educate me or edit yourself here.

Taking the first step

You do not have to know where to start.

Reaching out is often the hardest part. The first step is small: a free conversation to see whether we are a good fit. No pressure and no commitment.

Request a consultation

Prefer to talk first? Call (505) 600-2243.

  1. Request a time

Pick a time for a free consultation through my secure scheduling page.

  2. We talk it through

You share as much or as little as you like, and ask me anything. We decide together whether to keep going.

  3. Your first session

If it feels right, we book a first session, in person or online. Paperwork is handled privately in the client portal.

If you are in crisis, please do not wait for a consultation. Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) any time, or call 911 in an emergency.
